The diamond bit trends to slip when drilling ultra-hard compact and weak-abrasion rock formation.This paper analyzes the characteristic of ultra-hard compact and weak abrasion rock formation,expounds the reason of bit slipping and introduces the research progress of recent years from 4 aspects,namely matrix formula,bit structure,diamond parameter and production equipment.In addition,the development direction of diamond bit is also summarized and prospected in this paper.
